Santa Claus’ Waterslide Adventure

Posted by Santa Claus - November 14th, 2008

Did I ever tell you that I tried to go down a waterslide? Yes, I know you are thinking, “Santa Claus in a waterslide?”. Well, its true!

It was a few sleeps before Christmas, just before you were born. As you know, I eat lots and lots of food before Christmas Eve. That way, I have lots of energy stored up for my big trip. I guess I’m like a big, jolly bear in a red suit getting ready for winter!

Anyway, here’s my silly story…

I was quite plump and round,
a right jolly old elf.
When someone suggested,
we all head down South.
The elves were so silly.
They were having great fun.
They were sliding and sloshing,
having fun in the sun.
Well, then ‘twas my turn,
to go down the big slide.
What an adventure,
A wet, soggy ride!
I took a big turn,
and the water went “whoosh”.
And I got a big wedgie,
from my red bathing suit.
But what happened next,
was the worst thing of all.
I got stuck in the tube,
just before the last fall!
The elves thought it was funny,
they thought it was stunning.
Those silly old elves,
down the slide they kept coming.
Down the slide they kept coming,
and behind me get stuck,
‘Till we were stuck all together,
like quack on a duck!
Then an elf had an idea,
a great one at that.
We’d call the North Pole,
from the phone in my hat.
On Comet! On Cupid! On Donner! On Blitzen!
We were in trouble!
This problem needs fixing!
The reindeer all pulled,
as hard as they might.
But we were stuck in there good.
We were stuck in there tight!
And then another bright elf,
a young fellow named Unger,
Thought what we needed,
was a big Santa plunger!
So they got a big plunger,
and stuck it on me.
And that’s when the stuck elves,
decided to go… “Whee!”
Was it the plunger, the reindeer or maybe the “Whee!”?
Whatever it was,
I was out. I was free!
And that’s why it is to this very fine day,
When elves ask about waterslides, I say,
“No Thank You, No way!”

Good thing I don’t write poetry (or go down waterslides) for a living!  Ho! Ho! Ho!

Merry Christmas!

Santa Claus

P.S. What other silly things do you think Santa Claus, the elves and reindeer have done? (Scroll down to leave your message for me or to see what others have written!)

That sounds like a fun adventure!
Something that might be very silly would be if you you tripped over a toy and landed on the working conveor belt and were wrapped up and thrown into your owwn sleigh
