I am very lucky. I get to see the whole world. I get to see many wonderful things. People have done such great things.
But, I see a lot of things that make me a little sad too. Â I see people who are hungry. Â I see people who are hurting. Â I see many things that make me thankful for all that I have.
And I see many things that give me hope.

Many of my friends ask me, “Santa Claus, what can I get for my Mommy and Daddy for Christmas?”.  Then some of my friends ask me, “Santa Claus, why do you not bring as many presents for Mummies or Daddies or other grown-ups?”.
Well, the answer may surprise you!

St. Lucia procession
I was busy this morning. I visited many places!
The places I visited do something special today. It is called Saint Lucia’s Day. It is also called Saint Lucy’s Day. It is a day about Light winning over Darkness. And that is what Christmas is about in many ways too!

Snow Miser was here!
Many of my friends ask me, “Santa Claus, can you make it snow here for Christmas, please?”.Â
I always tell them, “Why, yes, of course! I can give you a white Christmas any time you want!”. (But you better read the rest of my post before you get your snowsuit on.)

We love Christmas music at the North Pole.  There are many songs about me.  Can you sing “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”?  Have you heard “Here Comes Santa Claus”?. Do you know “Must Be Santa?”. Those are very good Christmas songs, if I do say so myself. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Different people eat different things at Christmas.  It is part of what makes Christmas special for them. In Norway, Christmas would not be Christmas without a special fish dish called “lutefisk”. You say it “loo-ta-fisk”.

The elves started doing something fun at the North Pole. They call it “X.M.A.S.”.  “X.M.A.S.” is not the same as “Xmas”. That is something else. Â
The fun thing the elves do is all about the Christmas Spirit. It is about the joy of giving.
