Mrs. Claus

A tradition is something special you do every year.  At the North Pole, we have many Christmas traditions.

Mrs. Claus has traditions too.  One of hers is to build a great big gingerbread house.

Christmas Truce

Quite a few people, young and old, make very special requests of the elves and me.  They will ask us to cure someone they love of a disease like cancer.  Some people will ask us if we can bring peace on Earth.

It makes us sad that people have to ask for help.  It makes us even sadder that we cannot help them.

IT IS CHRISTMAS EVE!

Hello boys and girls around the world!  There is only 1 more sleep until Christmas morning!  That’s right, only 1 MORE SLEEP until the best day of the year is here!  (Can you hear the elves cheer!?)

I am putting on my warm clothes.  Mrs. Claus made sure I have my special Santa Claus suit.  I have my boots.   I have my nice warm hat.  I have my mittens.   I am all ready!   The elves even put the nose warmers on the reindeer. Click here to read all about “Christmas Eve – Santa’s Big Flight!”»

I am very lucky.   I get to see the whole world.  I get to see many wonderful things.  People have done such great things.

But, I see a lot of things that make me a little sad too.  After all, bad things do happen to good people through no fault of their own.

St. Lucia procession

 I was busy this morning. I visited many places!

The places I visited do something special today.  It is called Saint Lucia’s Day.  It is also called Saint Lucy’s Day.  It is a day about Light winning over Darkness. And that is what Christmas is about in many ways too!
