Santa's Sock
Today at the North Pole I made a new snow slide for the elves. Clumsy went right thru the reindeer barn!
When we came in, Mrs. Claus had nice hot cocoa ready for us. Of course, I had to take off my boots first.
My socks were very wet, stinky and holey! It reminded me of last Christmas.
Ho! Ho! Ho! It is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! So, MERRY CHRISTMAS my friend!
I am so very happy you found my blog! Some people call me Father Christmas. Some people call me Kris Kringle. And some people just call me plain old Santa Claus.
Have you heard of me? I am a big, jolly guy. I live in a magical place full of elves, reindeer, snowmen, and of course, Mrs. Claus!
I have been on the Internet for a long time. I have been reading your emails for a long time. I have been watching my web cams seeing who is naughty or nice for a long time. Ho! Ho! Ho! I guess I have just been around for a VERY, VERY, long time! And now I can say I have been writing my Christmas Blog for a long time too! So, welcome to “Santa Claus’ Christmas Blog 2011″.
I hope you have fun reading about me, Santa Claus, and all my friends and family at the North Pole. I am looking forward to sharing some of my special secrets with you. (You promise not to tell anyone?).
I have many new silly and funny stories to tell you this year. After all, I have been around for a long, long time. I have had lots of silly, funny adventures!
Yes, I even know a little about the Christmas Spirit. The Christmas Spirit is a wonderful thing. More than anything, my hope and wish are that my blog fills you with the magic, love and wonder of the Christmas Spirit. That is one of the best presents I could ever deliver, even if it was only in a Yule blog! Ho! Ho! Ho!

Junkanoo elves
Every weekend before Christmas a different group of elves puts on a big parade. It is a lot of fun. After all, everyone at the North Pole loves a parade!
Tonight, the elves from different countries put on their big parade. It is one of the happiest of all the parades.
Every year we have different countries in the parade (the elves have to take turns after all!). Would you like to hear more about the parade?
We had our Christmas Pageant a little while ago. Oh what fun! It is when all the smaller elves and reindeer put on a show for everyone else to see. We know it is getting very close to Christmas when they put on their Holiday show!

Elf Gingerbread House
Christmas elves are great helpers. They make great toys. But did you ever wonder why the elves help me make toys for all the good girls and boys?
Many, many years ago, Mrs. Claus and I went to the North Pole. We saw a bunch of elves there. The elves were very cold and very hungry. But they were very afraid of us. The elves were afraid because people had been mean to them.
Christmas Truce
Quite a few people, young and old, make very special requests of the elves and me. They will ask us to cure someone they love of a disease like cancer. Some people will ask us if we can bring peace on Earth.
It makes us sad that people have to ask for help. It makes us even sadder that we cannot help them.

I am very lucky. I get to see the whole world. I get to see many wonderful things. People have done such great things.
But, I see a lot of things that make me a little sad too. After all, bad things do happen to good people through no fault of their own.

St. Lucia procession
I was busy this morning. I visited many places!
The places I visited do something special today. It is called Saint Lucia’s Day. It is also called Saint Lucy’s Day. It is a day about Light winning over Darkness. And that is what Christmas is about in many ways too!
