Santa Claus & Elf Huts

Right now I’m in one of the elf huts lying in an elf bed and holding ice on my head!
I should tell you a bit about elf beds. Elf beds are really nice. Well, elf beds are really nice if you are an elf! I’m a bit bigger than an elf. So, my toes stick out the bottom of the elf bed. My nose sticks out the top of the elf bed. And, my bum hits the floor. I miss my own bed.
I should also tell you a bit about the elf huts elves live in. Elf huts are very nice. They have lots and lots of room. Well, elf huts have lots and lots of room if you are an elf! But, I’m a bit bigger than an elf. So, every time I turn around in an elf hut, I bump my head! Ouch!
The elf I am visiting today is The Head Elf. The Head Elf and his wife have many elf children. The Head Elf says Mrs. Head Elf likes to bake just like Mrs. Claus. He says she always seems to have a bun in the oven!
Elf children love to play. So do I. I was playing hopscotch and singing the Magpie Rhyme with them. But, I kept forgetting how tiny elf huts are. Every time I jumped, I bonked my head on the elf hut ceiling!
One for sorrow, Bonk!
Two for joy, Bonk!
Three for a girl, Bonk!
Four for a boy, Bonk!
Five for silver, Bonk!
Six for gold, Bonk!
Seven for a secret never to be told. Bonk!
Eight for a wish
Nine for a kiss
Ten for a bird that you won’t want to… Bonk! …miss.
So, that is why right now I’m in one of the elf huts lying in an elf bed and holding ice on my head. My toes are sticking out the bottom of an elf bed. My nose is sticking out the top of an elf bed. And, my bum is hitting the floor. I miss my own bed.
I think I will go back to my own house now and lie down in my own bed. It has been a rough day playing with the elf children.

Ah, that feels better! I just had a little nap and some of Mrs. Claus’ famous cookies. I feel much better now. But, the elf children don’t call it hopscotch anymore. Now they call it “Santa hop-Bonk!”. Ho! Ho! Ho! (Ouch!)

I my self own an elf on a shelf that I purchased from a local gift shop.Every night he comes life and he is very curious.He is aslo pretty small and i think it would be pretty hard for me to fit in a elf hut because I’m a GIANT compared to the elfs.I

I think it would be fun fo live in an elf hut. Everything would be tiny and you would be like a giant. But on the other hand you might accidentily break some of the elves things. So no mabey it wouldn`t be as much fun as I thought .
